In the late 1990’s, a group of Spanish designers decided to invent a line of jewelry that would be different and unique, with a type of design that would say something new. They also wanted to create a specific style that would be unlike anything else in the market.
At first, their idea was to design a line of highly unusual items, of which they would produce only 50 pieces per model. These pieces would then be numbered as part of a limited edition collection.
When it was time to come up with a name for the collection, one of the designers asked for suggestions from a close friend who was also a famous screen-writer and author. After hearing about the limited-edition idea (meaning that whoever bought a piece of jewelry from the collection would get one out of fifty produced) a name became obvious; "One of 50" - or in Spanish: UNO DE 50!

In order to achieve the desired alloy for our collection, a mixture of different metals is blended together. This allows us to attain the optimal texture for each individual piece, all of which are hand-made, one by one. Later, these pieces undergo a hypo-allergenic process followed by a bath in 15-micra silver to finally attain our signature look. Absolutely everything is created by us, from jewelry designs, to jewelry, to bags and packaging. All of our products are made by hand (so as to avoid any industrial processing) with special care so that you can enjoy wearing these unique pieces as much as we enjoy creating them for you!
